Is silicone crosspolymer a Micro plastic?

The Silicone crosspolymers are not classified as micro plastic. Micro plastic is defined as solid particle of a size between 1 – 5mm. The Silicone Crosspolymers are non-solid polymers with a much smaller particle size and will degrade into single polymer chainS. Other classic organic polymers e.g. Acrylates will remain as solid particles and do not break down into single polymer chains, this is why they cause the micro plastic issue in the environment.
