Aminosiloxane & Amodimethicone

Aminosiloxane oils, or aminosilicones, are one of the most widely used silioxane polymers in industrial and cosmetic formulations (personal care uses the inci name ‘amodimethicone’) owing to a near infinite level of polymer customization. The dissimilar nature of the surface-binding amine groups on a flexible, slippery siloxane backbone allows the fluid’s end properties to be tailored to an individualized performance need. CHT has customized aminosilicone molecules to impart the following properties for our end users:

CHT’s aminosiloxanes are easy to formulate with and are particularly effective in acidic pH conditions for water-based systems. The combination of slip imparting silicone and surface binding amino groups allows the polymer to optimally orient to nearly all surfaces for good coating and durability.
