Silanes for Chemical Formulating

Silanes are an incredibly useful collection of silicon-containing chemistries that are commonly used to effectively derivatize, synthesize, promote adhesion, improve mechanical properties, combatibilize, surface treat and in general customize chemical functionality for a variety of organic, inorganic and siloxane materials. Silanes can be selected to terminate polymerization or increase crosslinking, and add hydrophobic or hydrophilic properties, all depending on the type of silane selected.
