E-Mobility: Silicone Foam for Battery Modules and Electronics

Today's battery modules require more energy output while reducing overall mass. Critical design requirements demand materials that maintain perfromance, safety, and long-term reliability. CHT’s advanced Silicone Foam solutions are designed to mitigate thermal runaway, reduce weight, and provide protection from moisture, debris, and shock in battery modules and electronics. CHT’s silicone foams are also ideal where low smoke, flame and toxicity are required.

CHT's silicone foam solutions are formulated as a liquid 2-part, room temperature, platinum cure system with a 1:1 mix ratio by volume. For easy dispensing using either a cartridge or automated mixing machine, these silicone foams feature a low viscosity.

Addressing safety requirements, CHT's silicone foams exhibit excellent flame retardancy which will help mitigate a thermal runaway event.
